RESEARCH: Act I

The concept derived from an abstract space that demonstrated the dominance of the male in Victorian culture. Shapes were rectilinear and formal imposing order on the world. Maps of the British Empire and their components became symbolic of that imposed dominion.

RESEARCH - ACT 2

Collage of concepts building from the map idea in Act I, this act saw a move to a world that the woman are the center of the action. This evolved from the softer lines of contour maps into making pop art/graffiti inspired by female silhouettes.
